Blondie' s eponymous debut is their most fun album. It's a spikey breeze of new wave/punk that also proved to be the launch pad for the (soon to be) goddess of the day, 'Deborah Harry'. Bags of cool tunes, 'In the Sun' being the standout/5().

Recorded February 10, at Town Hall in New York City, this show is Blondie's first hometown show in 17 years. Despite this absence, Blondie plays as if they hadn't ever left. This performance aired on VH-1 as a minute show, while the CD contains many tracks that did not air on the program/5(36).

Jun 18,  · referencing Blondie, CD, Album, RE, RP, VK , F2 Remodelling pop and rock forms of the previous two decades in an aggressive fashion, Blondie's arched girl group and surf rock framework referenced grimy, trashy art and tongue-in-cheek sci-fi and B-movies, paradoxically breaking the counterculture punk ethos whilst actually rebelling against it/5(K).

Blondie. Who can have an 80's old school music collection, and not include Blondie featuring Debbie Harry? This best of type CD is a great collection of he finest work.. with all of her hits here on one CD for your enjoyment.I remember the ground breaking video that she did with Fab 5 that song among others are here.I played the entire CD as soon as it arrived in /5(44).

While Best Of may not be inclusive enough for the avid collector because it focuses more on Blondie's new wave dance hits than on their punk beginnings, songs like "Heart of Glass," "Dreaming," "The Tide Is High," and "Call Me" display the diverse musical styles this band embraced. It's a new wave album, a reggae album, a dance album, a punk album, and a rap /5().

Apr 23,  · dlgale The eponymous début album wasn't a great hit, and doesn't contain any of the bands most enduring tunes, but worth a listen for fans of Blondie or that New York sound. "X-Offender", "In The Flesh", "Look Good In Blue" and "Rip Her to Shreds" are the highlights. The A-Side is the stronger of the two.4/5(82).

While it's an inarguably good thing that Blondie is still extant in the 21st century, the band's release Blondie 4(0)-Ever suggests the predicaments imposed by the band's past and present as they acknowledge their 40th anniversary. Blondie 4(0)-Ever bundles together two albums, a collection of new material called Ghosts of Download, and Greatest Hits Deluxe Redux, a re 6/

42 years ago today, Blondie released their seminal third album, Parallel Lines. On September 23, , New York new wave outfit Blondie delivered their third record, Parallel Lines. While it was hardly an overnight success, the album would go on to become one of the band’s most popular releases. Hot on the heels of Plastic [ ].
